Cortland/ Tompkins Counties; Jennifer Doty: Longest stretch of nice weather has dry hay mostly caught up. Pasture growth has slowed with heat and dry weather.

Genesee/ Niagara/ Orleans Counties; Nathan R Herendeen: Wheat harvest will start this week. Weed spraying on corn and soybeans will continue until August, and nitrogen sidedressing on corn is in full progress. Hay and hay crop silage harvest is ongoing - all stages of hay crop maturity.

Livingston County; Dean R Pendergast: There was steady corn growth with the warm temperatures and available moisture. Wheat harvest is within days.

Ontario County; Joann Rogers, County Executive Director FSA: Ontario County producers had a busy week making hay. The heat, sunshine, and rain made the crops green up and grow.

Schuyler/ Seneca Counties; Kathy Mastellar, CED, Seneca/Schuyler FSA: A nice week of warm, sunny weather has crop growth progressing. Hay is being harvested. Wheat is getting mature.

Suffolk County; Alice V Wise: Grapevines on Long Island are thriving in the warm, dry weather. Hedging, the removal of excess shoot growth, is taking place. Cluster thinning, the adjustment of crop level, will take place soon.
