Award-winning singer-songwriter Brandy Clark has been added to the Pride Day entertainment lineup at The Great New York State Fair, where she will perform at Chevy Court on Friday, August 28, at 6 p.m.
Recognized as one of the leading voices in country and Americana music, Clark has built a reputation for powerful songwriting and critically acclaimed performances.
Clark recent achievements include winning Best Americana Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards and Song of the Year at the 2024 Americana Honors & Awards for “Dear Insecurity,” a collaboration with 11-time Grammy winner Brandi Carlile.
Clark has also earned praise for writing major hits for other artists, including “A Beautiful Noise,” performed by Brandi Carlile and Alicia Keys, and Kacey Musgraves’ “Follow Your Arrow.” Beyond music recordings, she expanded into theater by co-writing the music for the Broadway musical Shucked with longtime collaborator Shane McAnally.
The production earned multiple honors, including Outstanding Music at the 67th Drama Desk Awards and a nomination for Best Original Score at the 76th Tony Awards.
In 2026, The New York Times recognized Clark as one of “The 30 Greatest Living American Songwriters,” placing her alongside legendary names such as Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Taylor Swift, and Dolly Parton.
“We’re fortunate to have an artist as acclaimed as Brandy Clark performing as part of this year’s Pride Day lineup,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave.
“Her talent is undeniable, and her music speaks to audiences across generations and genres. We’re thrilled to welcome her to Chevy Court!”
The Great New York State Fair will run from August 26 through Labor Day, September 7. The 2026 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national recording acts, including daily performances at Chevy Court and nightly concerts at Suburban Park.
Two special 9 p.m. shows are also planned for August 28 and September 4 at Chevy Court. All concerts are included with Fair admission.
