Weis Vineyards Launches Its First Alcohol-Free Style Wine

Weis Vineyards Launches Its First Alcohol-Free Style Wine

By Blake Jackson

Weis Vineyards has introduced Ohne, its first-ever dealcoholized wine, offering consumers a premium choice with just 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). Produced from Finger Lakes-grown Gewürztraminer grapes, the new release caters to wine enthusiasts looking to enjoy the taste and experience of wine while reducing their alcohol intake.

The name "Ohne," which means "without" in German, reflects both the wine’s alcohol-free style and the winery’s German roots.

As interest in low- and no-alcohol beverages continues to rise, Weis Vineyards is expanding its portfolio with a locally crafted option that highlights the quality of Finger Lakes winemaking.

Made from the 2024 Gewürztraminer harvest, Ohne presents a gentler expression of the grape’s well-known aromatic profile.

The semi-dry, lightly sparkling wine offers lively flavors of pineapple, mango, and lychee, complemented by subtle floral notes of jasmine. Its crisp finish and refreshing bubbles make it suitable for celebrations, casual gatherings, or everyday enjoyment.

“We’re excited to introduce a locally crafted dealcoholized wine” said the team at Weis Vineyards. “We wanted to create something that still feels special. A wine you can share with friends and family without sacrificing flavor or the experience.”

Ohne 2024 is now available through the Weis Vineyards tasting room, online store, and can also be enjoyed by the glass or bottle on the winery’s patio, giving visitors multiple ways to experience the new release.
