Get ready to dust off your “clean shirt, new shoes” because legendary rock band ZZ Top is coming to The Great New York State Fair! The Texas trio will perform at Suburban Park on Thursday, September 3, at 8 p.m., bringing their signature blues-rock and boogie sound to fans of all ages.
Formed in Houston in 1969, ZZ Top has become one of rock’s most enduring and influential acts. Famous for their long beards, top hats, and sunglasses, the band has delivered iconic hits like “La Grange,” “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” and “Legs.”
Over decades of success, they have released 15 studio albums, sold around 50 million records, and earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their music continues to resonate with fans worldwide.
“The band’s legendary sound and high-energy performance make them a must-see act,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “We anticipate an unforgettable night of nostalgic favorites and can’t wait to see ZZ Top look-alikes in the crowd!”
This year, The Fair will introduce a ZZ Top Doppelgänger Contest. Attendees are encouraged to wear brimmed hats, black shades, and show off long beards for a fun competition. Details and entry rules will be shared soon.
The Great New York State Fair runs from Wednesday, August 26, through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. Concerts are included in admission, which is $8 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors 65+ get in free.
