Country music fans at the Great New York State Fair this summer won't want to miss rising star RVSHVD (pronounced RA-SHAD) take the Chevy Court stage on Thursday, August 22nd at 1:00 PM.
Hailing from a small Georgia town, RVSHVD discovered his passion for country music a decade ago. His smooth vocals and ability to blend genres gained him recognition with a viral cover of Roddy Ricch's "Ballin'" on Spotify, TikTok, and YouTube, exceeding 25 million streams. His recent single, "Shoebox Money," sparked a national conversation with millions of views and shares on Instagram Reels, solidifying his unique place in country music.
RVSHVD's live performances include appearances at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest, a Grand Ole Opry debut, and tours with Dwight Yoakam. He's slated for major festivals like Stagecoach and CMA Fest again this year. Industry acclaim includes being named Billboard's Country Rookie of the Month and a CMT "Artist to Watch 2024."
"We're thrilled to welcome RVSHVD to the Fair," said Interim Director Julie LaFave. "His innovative sound is sure to resonate with our Chevy Court audience."
The Fair runs from August 21st to September 2nd, with all concerts included in the admission price (available later this summer). The Great New York State Fair boasts the title of the most affordable state fair in the country.
