Mark your calendars, farmers! Cornell Cooperative Extension's Central NY team has exciting events lined up to boost your knowledge and operations. Get ready for: 

Corn Day: 

  • Date & Location: February 21st, Otesaga Resort Hotel, Cooperstown, NY 
  • Focus: Herbicide-resistant weeds, emerging diseases like tar spot, corn silage trials, seed treatment research, and seedcorn maggot mitigation. 
  • Bonus: Trade show, coffee hour, and delicious lunch buffet. 
  • CEUs: Earn up to 2.25 NYSDEC pesticide applicator credits and 2.5 Certified Crop Advisor credits. 

Dairy Day: 

  • Dates & Locations: April 3rd at Otesaga Resort Hotel and April 4th at CCE Saratoga, Ballston Spa, NY 
  • Speakers: Renowned experts Rick Grant and Ev Thomas from the Miner Institute, sharing their wealth of research and practical knowledge. 
  • Topics: The crop-animal-environment interface, milk analysis for herd management, cow comfort, and behavior. 
  • Registration: $50 per person
