DEC Posts New Pesticide Reports Online

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation reports new pesticide reports posted online.

With the addition of paragraph 12 to Article 33-1301 of the New York State Environmental Conservation Law, DEC is now required to post the amount and location of glyphosate applications made on state property by April 1 of each year. The first glyphosate annual report is now available on DEC's Pesticide webpage under "Hot Topics" at https://bit.ly/3JTHzcs.

The data was reported to DEC by state agencies, state departments, public benefit corporations, and their contractors that applied glyphosate on state property. The data is available for view as a PDF spreadsheet. A summary of the report has been posted as well.

New York State's Pesticide Reporting Law (PRL) requires the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to prepare and post an annual report summarizing pesticide sales and quantities of pesticides used in New York State. The data is reported to DEC every year by certified pesticide applicators and pesticide retailers. The summary reports for 2019, 2020, and 2021 pesticide sales and applications are now available on DEC's PRL Annual Report webpage at https://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/97535.html.
