Hard-hitting all-female rock band PLUSH makes its Great New York State Fair debut with a 2 p.m. show on opening day Aug. 24 on the Chevy Park stage in the New York Experience festival grounds. The band, headed by Albany-area native Moriah Formica, is a quartet of women ages 18 -- 21 who launched their self-titled debut album in February.
State Fair interim Director Sean Hennessey said, "PLUSH's message of empowerment for women really speaks to us. We've featured trailblazers such as Joan Jett and Lizzy Hale of Halestorm and it's great to see another generation of women in rock music. We're proud to open the Chevy Park concert season with this show and these ladies."
All concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission. Concerts at the Fair are sponsored by Chevrolet.
Founded in 1841, the Great New York State Fair showcases the best of New York agriculture, provides top-quality entertainment and is a key piece of the state's CNY Rising strategy of growing the Central New York economy through tourism. The 2022 Fair begins Aug. 24, and continues through Sept. 5.
