You may have rooted for this trio to win America's Got Talent (AGT) last summer... Now, you can cheer them on while watching from Chevy Court! Chapel Hart is coming to the Great New York State Fair, set to perform at 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 at Chevy Court.
In 17 seasons of AGT, Chapel Hart was only the second group to win the golden buzzer. The country trio dazzled judges and earned millions of fans after performing "You Can Have Him Jolene," which was recognized as "International Song of the Year" in Scotland in 2021.
Known for their three-part harmonies, sisters Danica and Devynn Hart and their cousin, Trea Swindle, have sung together since they were children. Their sophomore album, "The Girls Are Back in Town," delivers a blend of powerful ballads and music to dance to and has been recognized as "Album of the Year" at the British County Music Awards.
"The Great New York State Fair is in the business of bringing people together, and one of the ways that people come together is through music," said Interim Fair Director Sean Hennessey. "Chapel Hart has a natural way of inviting people to come together, sing along and dance. Just wait until you can hear the notes they can reach!"
The trio was inducted into CMT's Next Women of Country, which has helped to catapult the careers of Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley McBride and Gabby Barrett. Internationally known artists are taking note of Chapel Hart's rising star too, as evidenced in Darius Rucker recruiting Chapel Hart to sing on his next album!
The 2023 Fair begins Aug. 23 and continues through Sept. 4. The Chevrolet Music Series schedule will feature daily performances at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1) and Chevy Park Experience Stage (located at the rear of the Fairgrounds). As always, all concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission.
To date, Chevrolet Music Festival concerts announced include two performances at the Experience Stage at Chevy Park:
- Aug. 24, 8 p.m.: Theory of a Deadman
- Aug. 29, 8 p.m.: Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line
As additional concerts are announced, Fair staff will update schedules on the Fair's website at pages dedicated to Chevy Park and Chevy Court.
Founded in 1841, the Great New York State Fair showcases the best of New York agriculture, provides top-quality entertainment and is a key piece of the state's CNY Rising strategy of growing the Central New York economy through tourism. It is the oldest fair in the United States, and is consistently recognized as being among the top five state fairs in the nation.
