By Blake Jackson

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) is hosting its inaugural Innovation Day on October 29, 2024.

This exciting event will showcase the groundbreaking research and innovative ideas that are shaping the future of agriculture and life sciences at CALS.

The day will feature keynote speeches from leading experts in the field, who will discuss their latest advancements and innovations.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore how CALS researchers are leveraging sponsored research and technology transfer to create their own start-ups.

Interactive demonstrations will provide hands-on experiences with the Moonshot Seed Grant Program and the transformative power of Digital Agriculture (DA).

Learn about cutting-edge technologies like predictive and generative AI, robotics, advanced sensing, and automated disease detection, and discover how DA is driving innovation and sustainability in farming.

Networking opportunities will allow attendees to connect with farmers, researchers, agribusiness professionals, and other like-minded individuals to exchange ideas and form new collaborations.

Whether you are a researcher, tech enthusiast, or simply a member of the CALS community interested in the future of agriculture and life sciences, CALS Innovation Day promises to be an exciting and engaging experience for all.

The full program will be announced in early October. Please register by October 15 to secure your spot. Join CALS on October 29, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at Warren Hall, Room 401.
