Dairy Day will be held at two locations in early January: January 7 at the White Eagle Conference Center and January 8 at CCE Saratoga County.
The event is designed to provide valuable insights and discussions for dairy farmers and industry professionals.
Dairy Day - Hamilton
The agenda begins at 9:00 am with registration, coffee, and a welcome session. At 10:00 am, Dr. Julio Giordano, Professor of Dairy Cattle Biology and Management at Cornell University, will present on "Opportunities for Improving Herd Management with Automated Monitoring Technologies."
This will be followed by a farmer panel at 10:45 am, featuring representatives from Collins Knoll Farm, LLC, and Lathrop's Milk Ranch, LLC, discussing topics such as monitoring boluses and automated milking systems.
Lunch and a trade show will take place at 11:30 am. The afternoon sessions will begin with Dr. Jorge Barrientos-Blanco of Progressive Dairy Solutions presenting on "High Oleic Soybeans in Dairy Diets" at 12:40 pm.
Joe Lawrence from PRO-DAIRY will then discuss "Plenish Beans and Managing Homegrown Grains" at 1:25 pm. The final farmer panel, focusing on the inclusion of High Oleic Soybeans in dairy diets, will take place at 2:10 pm. The day will conclude at 3:00 pm.
Dairy Day - Ballston Spa
The schedule for the Ballston Spa event mirrors that of the Hamilton session, with similar topics and speakers, including Dr. Giordano, Dr. Barrientos-Blanco, and Joe Lawrence, as well as farmer panels featuring Collins Knoll Farm, LLC, and Lathrop's Milk Ranch, LLC.
These events provide an excellent opportunity to learn about new technologies and strategies to improve dairy herd management, nutrition, and grain management.
