Join Northeast farmers at Cornell Organic Grains event 2025

By Blake Jackson

The first-ever Cornell Organic Grains Conference will take place on February 6, 2025, at Jordan Hall, located on the Cornell Agritech Geneva campus.

This new event promises to bring together organic grain farmers from across the Northeast to exchange knowledge and learn from leading experts in the field.

The conference will feature keynote addresses from Dr. Erin Silva of OGRAIN and Dr. Heather Darby from the University of Vermont’s Northwest Crops and Soils Program.

Attendees can also look forward to engaging farmer panel discussions and interactive breakout sessions. Topics include postharvest grain handling, organic no-till farming, and the integration of precision technology in organic grain operations.

An organic trade show will also be part of the event, showcasing innovative products and services tailored to the organic grain farming community.

Co-sponsored by organizations such as NYCO and Cornell Field Crops, the conference is designed to foster collaboration and provide actionable insights for farmers and industry professionals alike.

This inaugural event aims to establish a valuable annual tradition for the region’s organic grain sector.
