Kubota Partners With Nonprofits for Change

By Jamie Martin

Kubota Tractor Corporation has expanded its commitment to local communities through the 2026 Hometown Proud® Grant Program, selecting ten nonprofit organizations to receive funding and equipment support for projects that benefit residents across the United States.

The program will distribute a total of $500,000, with each recipient receiving $25,000 in cash and an additional $25,000 toward the purchase of Kubota equipment. The grants are intended to help organizations complete projects that create lasting social, environmental, and economic benefits.

Established to support grassroots community initiatives, the Hometown Proud® program has grown into a significant investment effort for nonprofit organizations. Over six years, Kubota has provided more than $2.9 million in combined funding and equipment, helping projects that improve quality of life and strengthen local connections.

The 2026 competition drew more than 1,100 applications from communities throughout the country. Following a detailed evaluation process, ten organizations were selected for their innovative approaches to addressing local needs.

“The Kubota Hometown Proud grant program reflects our deep commitment to supporting communities where our customers and dealers live and work,” said Alex Woods, President of Kubota Tractor Corporation. “Our dealers are the heart of this program, and we believe in investing in programs that matter to their communities. With their support, we’re able to deliver more than funding but also equipment and a long-term trusted partnership for ongoing success.”

Many of the winning projects focus on agriculture and agricultural education. Community farms and educational programs will use grant resources to provide hands-on learning opportunities while promoting sustainable farming practices. These projects are expected to help participants better understand food production, conservation, and land management.

The 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud Grant Winners are:

  • Armored Church partners with Sink Farm Equipment.
  • Friends of Greenfield Recreation partners with M.B. Tractor & Equipment.
  • Galloway Family Farm & Education Center partners with Lee Tractor Company.
  • HALTER Healing and Learning Through Equine Relationships partners with Blue Water Equipment Group.
  • Helpful Harvest Food Bank Inc. partners with State Equipment Inc.
  • Impact Activity Center partners with Farm Power Lawn & Leisure.
  • Moncus Park partners with Sammy Broussard Equipment Center.
  • Osseo Community Foundation partners with Johnson Tractor.
  • REACH Inc. partners with Pelican Tractor.
  • Winding Branch Ranch partners with Ewald Kubota.
  • Food security initiatives are also receiving significant support. Some organizations will use the funding and equipment to increase food production and improve access to fresh and nutritious food for families experiencing food insecurity. These efforts aim to strengthen local food systems while supporting vulnerable populations.

Environmental stewardship remains another major theme among the selected projects. Recipients will work on conservation efforts, habitat enhancement, community garden development, and park improvement projects. These initiatives are designed to preserve natural resources while encouraging public participation and community pride.

Additional projects focus on workforce development, public wellness, youth engagement, and community revitalization. In several communities, the grants will help transform public spaces, create educational opportunities, and support programs that serve residents of all ages and backgrounds.

A key component of the program is the partnership between each nonprofit and a local Kubota dealer. These dealers provide equipment recommendations, technical knowledge, and continued support throughout project implementation. This collaborative model helps ensure organizations can fully utilize their resources and achieve project goals.

Kubota officials noted that local dealer involvement creates strong community connections and provides recipients with access to trusted equipment partners. The company believes these relationships contribute significantly to the long-term success of funded projects.

The selected nonprofits represent a broad spectrum of community priorities, including agricultural development, environmental conservation, public recreation, food access, and educational advancement. Together, the projects highlight the important role nonprofit organizations play in improving local communities.

“We’re honored to be part of this program that has a very direct local impact,” said Joe Reister, Store Manager, at Pelican Tractor in Klamath Falls, Ore. “Kubota is providing a channel to empower our community, and it’s incredibly rewarding.”

By supporting these initiatives, Kubota aims to encourage sustainable growth and strengthen community resources across the country. The company continues to emphasize practical investments that deliver measurable benefits while helping organizations expand their impact.

As the 2026 grant recipients begin their work, the funding and equipment will provide important tools for achieving community goals. Through its Hometown Proud® Grant Program, Kubota continues to demonstrate how partnerships between businesses, nonprofits, and local dealers can create meaningful and lasting positive change.
