Mohawk River Basin Grants Available Now

Approximately $600,000 in grant funding is now available to help municipalities, soil and water conservation districts, school districts, colleges and universities, and not-for-profit organizations to implement the goals and objectives of the Mohawk River Basin Action Agenda 2021-2026 (PDF), a five-year plan advancing efforts to conserve, preserve, and restore the Mohawk River and its watershed.

Grant awards ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 are available. All projects must be located within the geographic boundaries of the Mohawk River watershed and have defined project objectives that can be completed within a two-year contract term.

Submit applications online through the New York State Grants Gateway by 3 p.m. on March 3. Visit DEC's Mohawk River Watershed Grants webpage at https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/98799.html for more information.
