New York State Fair Launches Official Mobile App 2025

By Blake Jackson

The Great New York State Fair has officially launched a brand-new mobile app aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and making trips to the Fair more convenient than ever.

The app, which is free to download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, is designed as a complete companion for fairgoers, offering everything from ticket purchasing to navigation tools.

"We are thrilled to introduce this new app as a key part of our ongoing commitment to improving the Fair experience for everyone," said Fair Director Julie LaFave. "With all the incredible attractions, food, and entertainment we have to offer, this app will be an invaluable tool to help our visitors explore everything the Fair has to offer and create unforgettable memories."

The app provides a wide range of features to ensure visitors can make the most of their time:

  • Interactive Map: A GPS-enabled map of the Fairgrounds helps users quickly locate vendors, exhibits, restrooms, and other attractions.
  • Daily Schedule: A detailed, searchable event calendar allows fairgoers to plan their day and set reminders for concerts, shows, and activities.
  • Fair Finder Map - Food and Vendor Directory: Browse a full listing of food options and merchants, searchable by keyword or category.
  • Ticket Information & Deals: Access ticket prices, discounts, and promotions all in one place.
  • Push Notifications: Get real-time updates on announcements, weather, and special events.

The development of this app highlights the Fair’s focus on innovation and customer convenience, ensuring visitors have all necessary information at their fingertips. With millions attending each year, the app is expected to become an essential resource for navigating the Fairgrounds.

The 2025 Great New York State Fair begins Wednesday, August 20, and continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 1. Concerts are included with admission, and tickets are already available online at nysfair.ny.gov.

General admission is $8, with a Frequent Fairgoer pass offered at $25. Admission remains free for children 12 and under as well as individuals 65 and older, continuing the Fair’s reputation as one of the most affordable in the nation.

To download the app, search “New York State Fair” in the App Store or Google Play and look for the official logo on a gold background.
