New York State Fair Unveils Tribute Concert Lineup

By Blake Jackson

Music fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of tribute bands at this year’s Great New York State Fair, where audiences will enjoy performances celebrating some of the biggest names in music.

From Elton John and Neil Diamond to Journey and The Temptations, along with classic yacht rock favorites and family-friendly entertainment, the Chevy Court stage will feature a mix of nostalgia, singalong hits, and high-energy performances.

“There’s something special about hearing the songs you love while surrounded by thousands of people singing and dancing right along with you,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave.

“This year’s tribute acts capture the energy and spirit of some of the most iconic performers of all time, creating unforgettable shows that bring generations together. Whether it’s a favorite from your childhood or a song you still turn up on the radio, this lineup is full of music everyone can enjoy together.”

Among the featured acts is Kenny Metcalf as Elton, delivering a performance that recreates the sound and style of Elton John with classics such as “Rocket Man,” “Benny and the Jets,” and “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”

Families can also enjoy Moonlight Princesses, a character-inspired live concert featuring energetic choreography and powerful vocals.

Glenn Leonard’s Temptations Revue brings authentic performances from the legendary former Temptations lead tenor alongside a talented vocal group.

Neil Forever will perform Neil Diamond favorites, including “Sweet Caroline,” “Forever in Blue Jeans,” and “Love on the Rocks,” backed by a 14-piece ensemble.

Yacht Rock Gold Experience will revive smooth rock hits from the late 1970s and early 1980s, featuring music made famous by artists such as the Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Christopher Cross, and Kenny Loggins.

Meanwhile, Voyage, recognized as one of the leading Journey tribute bands, will perform fan favorites including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Faithfully,” and “Open Arms.”

The Great New York State Fair runs from Wednesday, Aug. 26, through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.

All concerts are included with fair admission, and tickets are available through the Fair’s official website. Additional concert schedules will continue to be posted online as they are announced.
