The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has announced the introduction of single-day rental options at the New York State Fairgrounds, expanding its role as a year-round destination for events and community gatherings.
Located on a sprawling 375-acre site, the Fairgrounds now offers flexible and affordable one-day rentals, giving individuals and organizations access to a variety of distinctive and historic venues.
“The Fairgrounds is an expansive and historic site that, while having deep ties to agriculture, provides great opportunities for events and other special activities of all kinds," State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball said. "The Department is excited to continue to promote the Fairgrounds as a leading event venue in New York.”
“This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to making the Fairgrounds a vibrant, community-centered destination throughout the entire year,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave.
“We know that The Fair and Fairgrounds hold special memories for many New Yorkers, and we are excited to continue being part of those traditions all year long.”
A range of venues is now available for booking, catering to events such as birthday parties, anniversaries, reunions, showers, and more. Featured spaces include the Empire Room, Martha Eddy Room, Somerset Room, Empire Theater, Bistro Room, and Demo Kitchen.
Additional locations like the Sheep Barn & Wool Center and Wool Center are expected to be available soon.
Each venue offers unique features and varying capacities, making them suitable for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
This new initiative highlights ongoing efforts to broaden the Fairgrounds’ offerings beyond traditional events, fostering greater community engagement and creating more opportunities for year-round use.
