Post-grunge band Better Than Ezra is set to bring its signature 90s sound to the stage at The Great New York State Fair. The group will perform at Chevy Court on Friday, September 4, at 1 p.m., giving fairgoers a chance to hear their enduring hits live.
Originally formed in New Orleans in 1988, Better Than Ezra gained widespread recognition with their breakout single “Good,” featured on their 1995 album Deluxe. The song became a major chart success and remains one of the defining tracks of 90s alternative rock.
Over the years, the band has continued to evolve, releasing albums such as How Does He Do, Paper Empire, and their latest project, Super Magick (2024). Known for their engaging live shows, the group has built a dedicated following and earned a spot on Billboard’s list of the “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time.”
Popular tracks like “Desperately Wanting,” “In the Blood,” “King of New Orleans,” and “Rosealia” still resonate with audiences.
“We’re excited to welcome Better Than Ezra to the fairgrounds,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “As a fan of all-things 90s music, I’m pumped to jam along to these iconic hits and relive some great memories!”
The Fair will run from August 26 through Labor Day, September 7. Admission details will be announced later this summer, with tickets priced at $8 for adults, while children under 12 and seniors aged 65 and older can attend for free.
The 2026 Chevrolet Music Series will feature 41 national acts, with daily concerts scheduled at Chevy Court and Suburban Park, offering visitors a full lineup of entertainment throughout the event.
