NEW YORK STATE WEATHER

North Country Farm Bill Listening Session Rescheduled

A listening session originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon.

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball, along with Assemblyman Billy Jones and partners from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the New York Farm Bureau, will visit the Miner Institute in Clinton County to conduct a listening session to engage with and hear from constituents about the importance of the 2023 Farm Bill to New York State.

Participants will have three minutes to speak during the session as time allows and are invited to RSVP for the session or submit written comments at FarmBill@agriculture.ny.gov.

New York State's series of Farm Bill Listening Sessions will inform the State's federal priorities for critical funding and policy changes in a number of critical areas, including agriculture, nutrition, and the environment. Additional dates and locations for listening sessions will be announced soon.
