NY farm bureau seeks Ag innovation proposals

By Blake Jackson

The New York Farm Bureau (NYFB) is pleased to invite submissions for its annual State Convention, "Farming Forward: Leadership. Innovation. Diversification." This marquee event, taking place December 3-5, 2024, at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY, provides a valuable forum for agricultural professionals and farmers to explore strategies and best practices for a thriving future.

NYFB seeks engaging workshop proposals that directly address the convention's central theme. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership Development: Strategies for overcoming challenges and navigating change within the agricultural sector.
  • Cutting-Edge Agricultural Technologies: Showcasing advancements in technology and their potential applications for farms.
  • Adapting to Evolving Markets: Exploring strategies for success in a changing marketplace, including value-added products and agritourism ventures.

Presentations or demonstrations should be structured within a 45–75-minute timeframe, or alternatively, it may involve a 60-minute interactive roundtable discussion.

The deadline for proposal submissions is May 31, 2024. Selections will be announced by June 15th.

Prospective presenters are encouraged to submit proposals online. Alternatively, you may contact NYFB Events Director Laurie Beach at lbeach@nyfb.org or by phone at 518-436-8495.

Registration for the State Convention will open later this summer. We look forward to receiving your proposals and to fostering a dynamic and informative event that propels New York agriculture forward.
