The Great New York State Fair is bringing back its popular Tasty Tuesday promotion on September 1, 2026, offering visitors a chance to sample some of the fair’s favorite foods at discounted prices. Running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the one-day event will feature food samples from participating vendors for $3 to $5 each.
Now in its third year, Tasty Tuesday continues to provide fairgoers with an affordable way to enjoy a wide variety of food offerings. The program joins other budget-friendly fair traditions, including the 25-cent cup of milk available in the Dairy Products Building and the $1 baked potato sold in the Horticulture Building.
More than 50 vendors are expected to participate, showcasing their signature dishes through specially priced sample portions.
“We want everyone to experience the joy of The Fair without the added worry of cost.” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “Tasty Tuesday is an important way we provide fairgoers with the opportunity to enjoy the flavors of The Fair and empower our vendors to showcase their creativity and shine in the process."
In addition to food discounts, Wade Shows Midway will offer $3 rides throughout the day. Bottled water prices will remain capped at $3, and refill stations will be available across the fairgrounds. The fair runs from August 26 through September 7, with all concerts included in admission.
