Seven-time Grammy Award winner Big Boi, of legendary hip-hop duo Outkast, will perform at the Great New York State Fair on Friday, August 30th at 8:00 pm on the Suburban Park Stage.

Big Boi, a renowned rapper, songwriter, and record producer, is considered a pioneer in hip-hop music. He rose to fame in the 1990s with Outkast, achieving multi-platinum success with albums like "Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik," "ATLiens," and "Aquemini."

Outkast's critically acclaimed album "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" (2003) became a diamond-selling record, won Album of the Year at the Grammys, and featured hit singles. Throughout their career, Big Boi and Outkast have sold over 25 million albums and charted multiple songs and albums on the Billboard Hot 100 and Top 200 charts.

Big Boi's solo career has also been successful, with his album "Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty" reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200.

"Big Boi and The Great New York State Fair is the perfect recipe for summer fun and excitement," said Interim Director Julie LaFave. "Fairgoers provided valuable feedback, and having a seven-time Grammy winner perform reflects our commitment to a stellar entertainment lineup."

The Great New York State Fair runs from August 21st to September 2nd. Concerts are included with fair admission, priced at $8 for adults with free entry for children under 12 and seniors over 65. The Fair offers the most affordable admission among state fairs in the country.

The Fair's Chevrolet Music Series boasts 39 national acts performing daily at 1 pm and 6 pm at Chevy Court and 8 pm at Suburban Park. The Fair website will have continually updated schedules for both stages.
