On April 24, 2025, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host an in-person event focused on strengthening and expanding New York State’s food economy.
The event will bring together agricultural producers, policymakers, advocates, entrepreneurs, and investors to discuss key strategies for fostering resilience and capacity within the food sector.
Sessions will cover a range of topics aimed at supporting local food systems, ensuring accessibility, and improving community health.
A major focus will be on connecting small food producers with capital, enabling them to grow their businesses and contribute to a more sustainable and abundant food economy.
Experts will also discuss initiatives to enhance food supply chains and create economic opportunities within the industry.
This event is open to the public, providing a platform for stakeholders to collaborate and share insights on policies and investments that can drive the food economy forward.
Additionally, media representatives are welcome, with all discussions being on the record. A recording of the event will be made available afterward.
The event will take place at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, located at 33 Liberty Street. Interested attendees must register by April 21, 2025. For media inquiries, contact Ellen Simon at Ellen.Simon@ny.frb.org.
