Cornell expert - dairy cow welfare and care

Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Ferlito as Dairy Animal Welfare Specialist for its PRO-DAIRY program.

Ms. Ferlito brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this critical role, focusing on enhancing the welfare and comfort of dairy cattle on New York farms.

Her responsibilities will encompass collaborating with dairy farmers to strengthen animal care practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders to address evolving issues within the dairy sector.

Ms. Ferlito's qualifications include a Master of Science degree specializing in dairy cattle welfare and behavior, complemented by previous experience as a CCE Regional Dairy Specialist.
