The Milk Marketing Advisory Council has announced a meeting in compliance with the Open Meetings Law, set for Friday, December 6, at 10:30 a.m.
The session will take place at the New York State Fairgrounds, located at 581 State Fair Blvd in Syracuse, New York. Participants can also view the meeting via WebEx, with the link to be provided closer to the date.
The agenda begins with opening remarks by Commissioner Ball, Deputy Commissioner Howard, and Chair Chris Wolf from 10:30 to 10:40 a.m. Following this, a discussion on dairy workforce challenges will take place from 10:40 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Laura Ginsberg of the Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center will lead the introduction, with Deputy Commissioner Howard facilitating the group discussion.
After a lunch break from 12:00 to 12:35 p.m., the focus will shift to dairy transportation challenges.
This segment includes a panel featuring Barney McConnell of DFA, Mike Davis of Upstate Niagara, Keith Kimball of Red Maples Dairy, and other experts. Tonya Van Slyke, Executive Director of NEDPA, will facilitate the group discussion.
The meeting will conclude with a dairy economic outlook from 1:50 to 2:15 p.m., presented by Ed Gallagher, Catherine de Ronde, and Jodi Smith Krzysiak, followed by a public comment period and closing remarks by key leaders.
