The Capital District Regional Agritourism Networking Session, hosted by the Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) Agritourism Program Work Team and the CCE Capital Area Agriculture and Horticulture Program, offers an excellent opportunity for agritourism operators, agricultural service providers, and tourism promotion agencies to come together for an educational and interactive event.
The session will take place on May 15, 2025, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Indian Ladder Farm, located at 342 Altamont Rd, Altamont, NY. Attendees will have the chance to explore Indian Ladder Farm, renowned for its successful agritourism activities, with a guided tour led by farm owner Laura Ten Eyck.
In addition to the farm tour, the event will feature insights from Cornell’s Agritourism Program Team, who will share valuable strategies and best practices for enhancing agritourism.
Representatives from tourism promotion agencies, including the Capital Craft Beverage Trail, will discuss ways to increase agritourism outreach.
This session provides an excellent chance to network with fellow agritourism professionals and tourism promotion experts. Attendees are encouraged to bring marketing materials to share and explore potential collaborations.
