Aspiring mushroom growers have an exciting opportunity this spring to develop their cultivation skills through a comprehensive training program. This workshop series is designed for beginners interested in expanding their mushroom production knowledge, whether for personal use or as a business venture.
Participants will learn essential propagation and cultivation techniques, identification methods, and safe harvesting practices that comply with Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
The sessions will also explore various uses of mushrooms, including their role in nutrition, medicine, skincare, environmental benefits, and immune system support.
The program is open to supervisors, farmers, agricultural businesses, homeowners, and anyone interested in mushroom cultivation.

- How to Create a Viable Mushroom Business - Monday, March 10, 2025, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM (via Zoom)
- Financial Visibility in Mushroom Production - Monday, March 17, 2025, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM (via Zoom)
- Hands-on Workshop - Saturday, April 26, 2025, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Flowering Sun Ecology Center, Ellenville, NY (includes lunch)
The fee for the program is $30 per person.
