The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets is encouraging holiday shoppers to support local growers and producers by visiting a Taste NY Market this season. Visitors can explore a wide variety of locally made foods, beverages, specialty items, and customizable gift baskets at New York’s regional Welcome Centers, Taste NY stores statewide, and online at ShopTasteNY.com.
Several locations are running holiday promotions, with discounts of up to 30% on in-store and online purchases of regional brands, local foods, beverages, and unique gifts starting Black Friday, November 28.
“One of the greatest joys of the holiday season is supporting local farmers and businesses. Whether you're shopping for holiday dinners, stocking stuffers, or special keepsakes, our Taste NY program offers a wide variety of high-quality products that showcase the best of New York’s rich agricultural tradition," State Agriculture Commissioner Richard A. Ball said.
"Through Taste NY, we invite you to find fun, unique products - everything from local artisan crafts to decadent chocolates, maple syrup, beverages, and more - that make perfect additions to your holiday meals or thoughtful gifts for loved ones. There’s no better time than now to visit one of our Taste NY Markets or ShopTasteNY.com and explore everything Taste NY has to offer.”
Holiday specials vary by location. The Capital Region Welcome Center features gift and charcuterie boxes, while the Central New York Welcome Center offers 10% off purchases over $10 redeemable after January 1, 2026. Hudson Valley | Catskills Welcome Center runs discounts up to 20% on select days and hosts tasting events, and Mohawk Valley Welcome Center offers seasonal treats and product samplings.
Taste NY at the Equal Rights Heritage Center and Front Street locations provide discounts and raffles, with artisan markets in December. Western New York Welcome Center hosts daily food sampling, custom gift baskets, and workshops such as the Hands-On Holiday door swag event on December 11.
Taste NY products are available at travel hubs across the state, including Thruway service areas, airports, and train stations. For a full list of locations, hours, and holiday offers, visit the Taste NY website.
