Hemp growers unite - join the Cornell event

By Blake Jackson

Hemp growers, processors, and researchers are invited to attend a comprehensive event showcasing the latest advancements in hemp production.

The event will feature new hemp cultivars, weed and disease management strategies, and live demonstrations of innovative harvesting and processing technologies.

Cornell University will highlight two new hemp varieties that have been specifically bred to comply with THC regulations. These cultivars, developed by Cornell AgriTech, offer a reliable solution for producers seeking to avoid non-compliant crops.

In addition to the new varieties, the event will showcase other promising cultivars from France, Italy, Canada, and U.S. breeding programs.

Weed and disease management will be a key focus of the event, with experts providing valuable insights and strategies for maintaining healthy hemp crops.

One of the highlights will be the exhibition of new equipment, including the FiberCut Sickle Bar Harvester and the FiberTrack 660 Mobile Decorticator system.

These cutting-edge technologies offer efficient and effective solutions for hemp processing.

The event provides an excellent opportunity for hemp growers to learn from Cornell experts, network with industry professionals, and explore the latest developments in hemp production. The $30 registration fee includes a catered lunch. Register online.
