Topsoil moisture supplies were 0 percent very short, 1 percent short, 77 percent adequate, and 22 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies were 1 percent very short, 7 percent short, 82 percent adequate, and 10 percent surplus.

Farmers are hopeful for some rain in the coming weeks to help improve soil moisture conditions. However, the overall outlook for the New York crop harvest is positive.
