New York Hosts BMO Farm Conference

By Blake Jackson

BMO will host the 21st annual Farm to Market Chemicals Conference on May 13 and 14, 2026, in New York City. The two-day event will be held at the InterContinental Barclay Hotel and will bring together leaders from across the global food, agriculture, and chemical industries.

This well-established conference creates a platform for open discussion during a time of global disruption. Industry executives, global investors, financial sponsors, and analysts will meet to share insights into current challenges and future opportunities shaping food systems and agricultural markets.

The conference will cover the entire food and agriculture value chain. Topics include agribusiness, fertilizers, seeds, crop chemicals, packaged food, food retail, beverages, restaurants, and protein production. The program is designed to help participants better understand how markets are changing and how businesses can respond effectively.

Several important global issues will be discussed. These include the impact of international conflict on supply chains, pricing, and logistics. Sessions will also address rising energy and farm input costs, changing biofuels policies, and profitability across U.S. agriculture. Other discussions will focus on food and consumer investment challenges, inflation pressure on chemical demand, and evolving trends in food service and retail.

Sustainability topics will play an important role at the event. Speakers will explore circular economy solutions and the role of protein in modern diets. The state of the U.S. wine industry will also be reviewed, offering insights into consumer demand and production challenges.

BMO’s experienced analyst team will host discussions and company presentations throughout the conference. Analysts from food retail, agribusiness, chemicals, fertilizers, consumer markets, and restaurants will guide conversations with leaders from nearly 85 participating companies.

The list of participating companies includes major global names from agriculture, chemicals, food processing, retail, and materials. These organizations represent a wide range of products and services that support global food production and distribution.

By bringing together experts from different sectors, the conference aims to support informed decision making. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of market risks, economic pressures, and long-term trends influencing agriculture and chemical industries worldwide.
