The Northern New York Agricultural Development Program (NNYADP) is calling for on-farm research proposals. NNYADP projects support practical and innovative research that helps farmers in the northernmost region of New York State (Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties) be more economically and environmentally sustainable, and adapt to challenges such as changing market conditions, climate change, weather extremes, and emerging pests and diseases.
The NNYADP Farmer Committee reviews and prioritizes the research proposals for small grants. More than 97.5% of NNYADP funding goes directly to research and results delivery.
In other words, the NNYADP is a small grant program that supports farmers in northern New York State to do research on how to improve their farms. The program is focused on practical and innovative research that can help farmers be more sustainable and profitable.
