Ag Dept., Land Trust to Mark Farmland Protection Milestone

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Ball and the Finger Lakes Land Trust will celebrate the conservation of 700 acres of farmland on the six-generation Brock Acres Farm. The Commissioner will also announce a major milestone reached in the number
of acres of farmland protected in New York State under the State's Farmland Protection program.
The celebration and announce take place June 20 at 11 a.m. at Brock Acres Farm, 2291 Brace Rd.. Canandaigua.
Particpating in the program will be Ball along with Finger Lakes Land Trust Executive Director Andy Zepp, Brock Acres Farm Owner Kim Brocklebank and American Farmland Trust New York Policy Manager Samantha Levy.
