Calling All Dairy Advocates: Apply Now for New York Dairy Promotion Grants!

The American Dairy Association North East has opened applications for the 2023 local promotion grants in New York State. These grants aim to improve public perception of dairy farming and boost the consumption of local dairy products. Dairy farmers, promotion committee members, and dairy ambassadors residing in New York State are eligible to apply for grants of up to $250. The deadline for applications is July 31, and winners will be notified by August 10.

Priority will be given to projects that focus on engaging consumers, particularly youth (ages 5-24) and millennials (ages 25-40). ADA North East aims to foster connections between farmers and consumers within local communities, while also promoting knowledge about the dairy industry and the health benefits of dairy products. Each farm business or organization may receive one grant per year, with recipients required to submit a brief project summary, including photos, by January 5, 2024.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and are encouraged to review the guidelines outlined by ADA North East in addition to the USDA's dairy promotion and research order. To access the online application and find further details, interested individuals can visit AmericanDairy.com and navigate to the "Scholarships & Grants" section under "Dairy Farms." Don't miss this opportunity to support local dairy and contribute to the growth of the industry in New York State!
