Farmers, agronomists, and anyone with an interest in pest management are invited to an engaging and educational event focused on slug biology and management strategies in field crop systems.
This informative session, designed to enhance understanding of slug behavior and control methods, will take place on December 11, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Canoga Fire Hall, located at 3576 NY-89, Seneca Falls, NY 13148.
The program kicks off at 1:00 PM with a presentation by Dr. John Tooker of Penn State. During this session, attendees will learn about slug biology and how various management practices impact these pests in field crop systems. At 2:00 PM, the event will transition to an interactive roundtable discussion featuring Dr. Tooker and Mike Stanyard. This session offers participants a chance to share their experiences dealing with slugs, ask questions, and receive expert advice tailored to their specific challenges.
