Join the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center for an exciting Maple Sugaring event on Sunday, March 2, 2025. This hands-on experience will run during two sessions: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM and 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Participants of all ages will get a firsthand look at the maple syrup-making process, from tapping trees to collecting sap.
Guests will have the opportunity to drill and tap maple trees while learning how sap is collected using traditional buckets. A detailed presentation on the maple sugaring process will highlight the journey from sap to syrup.
Visitors can also enjoy a wagon ride on the “Syrup Express”, offering a scenic trip around the farm and a stop to see the resident farm animals.
The event is open to attendees ages 3 and up for a fee of $15 per person. This interactive program is an excellent way for families to experience a beloved seasonal tradition while exploring the farm’s educational offerings.
The event will take place at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center, located at 350 Yaphank Avenue, Yaphank, New York 11980.
