Join the Agriculture Advisory Committee of Knox, NY and Cornell Cooperative Extension Albany County for a comprehensive Farm Transition Workshop on February 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Knox Town Hall (2192 Berne-Altamont Road, Altamont, NY 12009).

Whether you're an experienced farmer planning your retirement or a newcomer seeking to launch your agricultural journey, this workshop provides the guidance you need. Gain valuable insights from:

  • Personal stories: Hear firsthand experiences from farmers navigating their own transitions and discover how they tackled challenges.
  • Expert advice: Renowned specialists in agriculture, finance, law, and government will guide you through the complexities of farm succession and acquisition.

Workshop highlights:

Morning session:

  • Keynote by Commissioner of Ag & Markets Richard Ball and Ethan Ball (Schoharie Valley Farm)
  • Inspiring stories from transitioning farmers: Paul, Phyllis, and Grace VanAmburgh (Dharma Lea Farm) and Gary and Pam Kleppel (Longfield Farm)
