New York farmers to connect at annual meetings

New York Certified Organic has scheduled annual field crop and dairy farmer-to-farmer meetings to facilitate connections and support local farmers. The meetings, taking place on January 9 and February 13 at Jordan Hall on Cornell AgriTech's Geneva campus, will feature presentations on topics such as inter-seeding, innovative no-till methods, and optimizing dairy economics. The January session will concentrate on dairy operations, while the February program will cover field crop-related subjects. The events, open to the public, include an informal potluck lunch, providing a platform for farmers, researchers, and industry leaders to share insights and build relationships. Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share.
