Country music star and multi-platinum recording artist Matt Stell is joining the 2023 Great New York State Fair's musical line-up. Matt will perform on the Chevy Court Stage at 6 p.m. on Aug. 27.
Country music fans will be familiar with Matt's most popular songs, the twice-platinum "Prayed for You" and the platinum "Everywhere But On," which earned Matt consecutive back-to-back #1 hits in 2019. Matt is only one of eight new artists in the past six years to have achieved this honor. His newest EP, "One of Us," came out last month introducing new tracks that fairgoers will love hearing live.
"Fair fans will find a country crooner with a big heart in Matt Stell," said Interim Fair Director Sean Hennessey. "While he's known for songs exploring themes including heartbreak, big dreams, and fun nights, he's also working to improve the lives of others through his charitable foundation, which supports organizations including St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Doctors Without Borders, and the Humane Society."
Matt Stell's performance – like all concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series – is free with admission to the Fair. Admission is $6 for adults and free for those 65 years and older, and 12 years and younger.
The Chevrolet Music Series features daily performances at Chevy Court (located near Gate 1) and the Experience Stage at Chevy Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway). As concerts are announced, Fair staff will update schedules on the Fair's website at pages dedicated to Chevy Park and Chevy Court.
The Fair starts Aug. 23 and runs through Labor Day.
