Agriculture educators in New York can celebrate! The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) awarded scholarships to two state teachers through the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) CASE Institute program. This vital initiative helps educators enhance their skills and inspire students to pursue careers in agriculture.
$64,400 was distributed to 39 agricultural educators across 17 states, including New York. These scholarships empower teachers to take their programs to the next level, ultimately strengthening the industry's future workforce.
"AEM is proud to support this program that gives back to dedicated agriculture educators," said AEM Vice President of People Strategy Julie Davis. "CASE Institute scholarships help teachers equip students with the knowledge and skills to excel in the agricultural field."
Both New York scholarship recipients will participate in CASE Institutes designed to deepen their expertise in specific areas:
Agricultural Equipment Maintenance and Technology (Future Technicians): This institute, held at SUNY – Cobleskill, will equip the teacher with valuable knowledge and skills related to maintaining and repairing agricultural equipment.
By attending these intensive programs, New York educators will gain valuable insights and resources to share with their students, potentially impacting hundreds of individuals considering careers in agriculture.
AEM encourages its member companies in New York to spread the word about the NAAE CASE Institute Scholarship program to local high school principals, promoting participation and enriching future generations of agricultural professionals.
