Farmers, researchers, educators, and agricultural professionals from across the Northeast are invited to attend the 2026 Cornell Organic Field Crops & Dairy Conference on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Lux Hotel & Conference Center in Waterloo, New York. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is co-hosted by New York Soil Health and the Cornell Sustainable Cropping Systems Lab.
The conference brings together experts in organic grain, dairy, and livestock systems to share practical tools, recent research, and farmer-tested strategies that promote profitable and resilient organic production.
This year’s lineup includes Michel Cavigelli from USDA Agricultural Research Service discussing findings from the Beltsville Long-term Cropping Systems Project; Amber Lambke, co-founder of Maine Grains, on connecting farms and communities; and David Mortensen, University of New Hampshire emeritus professor, presenting on organic grain production in the Northeast.
Additional speakers include Chris Wilson of Wilson Organic Farms, who will explore dairy-cropping integration for soil health and profitability; Sam Lucy from Bluebird Grain Farms, sharing insights on vertically integrated organic grain production; and Jessica Williamson from Massey Ferguson North America, offering strategies to optimize harvested forage quality.
The program also features breakout sessions, workshops on soil health and crop management, farmer-led roundtables, and a networking hour with locally brewed grain beers.
The conference kicks off with an evening Regenerative Organic Networking Event on March 5 at Fleur de Lis Brew Works in Seneca Falls, including dinner, a drink ticket, and discussions on organic transition and soil health.
Early bird registration is $65 for the conference and $30 for the evening event. Standard registration is $80.
