Backstreet boys and NSYNC stars unite - state fair concert

By Blake Jackson

Calling all 90s pop fans! The New York State Fair is bringing back the boy band era with a co-headlining performance by AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys and Joey Fatone of NSYNC. The concert will take place on Wednesday, August 21st at 8 pm on the Fair's Suburban Park Stage.

McLean, a founding member of the Backstreet Boys, brings years of experience performing chart-topping hits and captivating audiences with their signature harmonies. He recently released a solo single, "Electric," with more music on the horizon.

Fatone, known for his time with NSYNC, has kept busy with television, film, and even his own hot dog business. Fans can expect to hear NSYNC's greatest hits alongside Fatone's more recent collaborations. He recently reunited with his NSYNC bandmates for the first single in nearly two decades, "Better Place," featured in the Trolls movie franchise.

"This is the perfect summer concert for anyone who grew up singing along to these iconic boy bands," said State Fair Interim Director Julie LaFave. "We're thrilled to bring these pop legends together for a night of nostalgia and unforgettable music."

The concert is included with Fair admission, making the New York State Fair the most affordable option for catching these music powerhouses live. The Fair runs from August 21st to Labor Day, September 2nd.

This performance is part of the Fair's Chevrolet Music Series, featuring 39 national recording acts in total. The Fair offers daily concerts at 1 pm and 6 pm at Chevy Court and an 8 pm show at Suburban Park.
