The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Wyoming County have teamed up to present an invaluable Farm Connections Workshop. This free event, catering to the needs of emerging farmers, is scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 2 PM at the Ag & Business Center, 36 Center St., Warsaw, NY 14569.
The workshop promises an engaging day filled with presentations from a diverse group of farm service providers. These include agricultural lenders, insurance agents, extension experts, and representatives from local, state, and federal government agencies.
Participants will have the opportunity to delve into five critical sessions, covering topics such as Access to Capital, Technical Support, Business Support, Networking Support, and various Support Programs.
This event is more than just a learning opportunity; it's a platform for farmers to connect with the broader agricultural community and tap into a wealth of resources. The FSA's programs and loans are crucial in supporting farmers to provide essential commodities like food, fuel, and fiber worldwide. By participating in this workshop, farmers can gain a deeper understanding of how to leverage these resources for their farm's success.
The New York FSA staff are committed to ensuring that local farmers are well-informed about federally funded agricultural programs. Their efforts contribute significantly to the stability and growth of the agricultural sector, ensuring a consistent and affordable supply of food and fiber.
