Agriculture ranks as the most dangerous industry, with daily tasks posing potential health and safety risks. From tractor rollovers and PTO entanglements to animal handling and road hazards, the dangers are real.
This informative meeting will feature the New York Center for Agriculture Medicine and Health (NYCAMH) discussing:
- Crucial farm safety practices to minimize risks and protect yourself and your workers.
- The John May Farm Safety Fund: This valuable program offers up to 50% reimbursement, capped at $5,000, to upgrade safety features on your farm. Eligible improvements include animal handling facilities, rollover protection systems, electrical upgrades, and more. Learn how to apply and secure this funding to enhance your farm's safety measures.
