NYC's historic farm hosts milk & honey month

Queens County Farm Museum invites visitors to celebrate Milk & Honey Month throughout June with a diverse array of activities and programs. The event series highlights New York State dairy and honey, offering farm-fresh experiences and local treats.

Daily admission to Queens County Farm Museum is free, allowing guests to explore the historic farm and participate in themed programming. From family-friendly favorites to new additions, the lineup promises something for everyone.

The Bee-Friendly Plant Sale at the Farm Store provides opportunities to support pollinators, while volunteer days offer hands-on farm experiences.

Free programs include after-school Milk & Cookie Hour, Cowabunga Storytime, Milk & Honey skincare demos, Bzzz! Apiary Talks, and a Moo-velous Kids’ Scavenger Hunt. Additionally, fee-based programs such as Art on the Farm, Butter Churning & Herb Infusions, and Farm Yoga offer immersive experiences for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of fee-based culinary experiences, including Bad Habit Ice Cream, Butter Churning & Herb Infusions, and a tasting event titled Strawberries - A Sweet Celebration. Art enthusiasts can participate in Art on the Farm sessions, while those interested in cheesemaking can attend Cheesemaking 101.

Milk & Honey Month honors National Dairy Month and National Pollinator Month, highlighting New York State's dairy industry and its significance to the state's economy. The event is made possible by the generous support of sponsors including New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Northwell Health, Lifeway Kefir, and GrowNYC.
