Quiet Riot Returns to New York State Fair Opening Day

By Blake Jackson

Quiet Riot is set to return to the Great New York State Fair, bringing its high-energy sound back to the Chevy Court Stage at 6 p.m. on Opening Day, Wednesday, August 26. Known for becoming the first heavy metal band to top the Billboard 200 chart, the group is expected to deliver a powerful performance packed with classic hits.

Formed in Los Angeles in the early 1970s and reestablished in 1980, Quiet Riot achieved worldwide success with its 1983 breakthrough album, Metal Health.

The band previously performed at the Fair in 2023, thrilling audiences with well-known tracks such as “Don’t Wanna Let You Go,” “Mama Weer All Crazee Now,” and the chart-topping anthem “Cum On Feel the Noize,” which has been featured in television shows, films, and the Broadway production Rock of Ages.

“Quiet Riot brought a party the last time they performed at The Fair,” said Fair Director Julie LaFave. “We’re excited to welcome them back on Opening Day to get the crowds energized and set the tone for an unforgettable 2026!”

The 2026 Fair runs from Wednesday, August 26, through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. All concerts are included with Fair admission. Tickets, which go on sale later this summer, are priced at $8 for adults, while children under 12 and adults 65 and older receive free entry.

As part of the 2026 Chevrolet Music Series, 41 national acts will perform. Chevy Court will host daily shows at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., while Suburban Park will feature 8 p.m. concerts, along with two special 9 p.m. performances on August 28 and September 4.
