Delaware Agriculture Week 2026 will take place from January 12 through January 15 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington. The event brings together farmers, agribusiness professionals, and agricultural students to focus on education, innovation, and professional development.
The four-day program will include breakout sessions, continuing education credits, and a large exhibit area featuring agricultural vendors. These sessions are designed to share current research, new farming practices, and modern technologies that can help farmers make better production decisions.
“For more than two decades, Delaware Agriculture Week has been a focal point of the winter season for farm families all across the region,” said Delaware Secretary of Agriculture Don Clifton. “This is a wonderful event to take advantage of, with spotlight sessions on various agricultural topics and the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations and best practices showing promise for the coming year.”
Daily sessions will cover a wide variety of agricultural topics. Farmers can attend programs focused on poultry, beef, vegetables, hay, pasture management, soil health, woodland care, pollinator protection, and agronomy. Special sessions will also focus on grain marketing, farm risk planning, and urban agriculture.
New in 2026, selected poultry-related sessions may be offered through live webinars if biosecurity measures become necessary. This will allow participants to continue their education while protecting farm biosecurity. Some sessions will require pre-registration to ensure proper planning and communication.
The event offers farmers valuable opportunities to connect with industry experts, learn about the latest research, and build professional networks. These interactions help farmers prepare for upcoming seasons and strengthen farm business strategies.
“Delaware Ag Week continues to be a valuable opportunity for learning, networking, and sharing ideas, all in one place, for everyone involved in agriculture,” said Cory Whaley, University of Delaware Extension agent for Sussex County and Co-chair of the Delaware Ag Week planning committee. Delaware Agriculture Week 2026 remains a trusted platform for sharing knowledge, promoting sustainability, and encouraging innovation across the state’s agricultural community.
