Greenhouse growers and crop managers are invited to join a webinar on January 22, 2026, focused on identifying and managing major pests in greenhouse crops.
The session will provide practical guidance on scouting, making the process faster and more effective, and improving communication with growers and facility owners. Participants will also gain access to valuable resources for managing pests and promoting plant health.
The January 22 webinar will cover key topics, including the goals of effective scouting, an overview of useful tools, and detailed discussions on root rots and fungus gnats. Biological control options for managing fungus gnats will also be addressed, providing participants with integrated approaches to pest management.
Those interested in receiving pesticide recertification credits should register at least one day prior to the webinar. Multiple webinars in the series are available at a reduced rate for participants who wish to attend more than one session.
Additionally, a seven-week certificate program covering all topics in the series is offered for those seeking more comprehensive training. The registration deadline for the certificate program is January 9, 2026.
The webinar will run from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. For more information or to register, contact Elizabeth Lamb, Ornamental IPM Coordinator, Cornell Integrated Pest Management, at eml38@cornell.edu.
