Niagara Wine Trail Hosts Annual Holiday Happening Event

By Blake Jackson

The Niagara Wine Trail is bringing festive cheer to Western New York with its annual Holiday Happening event, scheduled for December 6 and 7. This two-day celebration invites guests to sip their way through 12 participating wineries while enjoying a seasonal blend of local flavor, handcrafted gifts, and holiday charm.

Visitors can sample a curated selection of local wines at each stop, creating a relaxed and enjoyable tasting experience perfect for couples, friends, and families looking to kick off the holiday season. As an added touch, every winery will offer a unique snowflake ornament, giving participants the chance to collect a full set as they travel along the trail. Whether displayed on a Christmas tree or showcased on a wine rack, these ornaments make a delightful keepsake from a festive weekend getaway.

Three ticket options are available to suit different types of guests. A Single Ticket ($50) includes wine tastings at each winery, one ornament per location, and a keepsake wine glass from the starting winery. The Couples Ticket ($75) provides tastings for two people, a shared set of ornaments, and two souvenir glasses. For those joining as a Designated Driver, a special ticket offers ornaments from each stop while excluding alcohol tastings.

Tastings and ornaments are valid throughout both days of the event, giving guests the flexibility to explore at their own pace. Tickets must be purchased online by December 4 or before they sell out, and ornament availability is limited.
