The Long Island Agricultural Forum 2026 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, and Thursday, January 15, offering a comprehensive two-day educational program for professionals in agriculture and ornamental horticulture.
The forum is designed to address the current needs of Long Island’s farming and horticultural communities, providing participants with practical knowledge, resources, and networking opportunities.
The event will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on January 14 and from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on January 15. Attendees will have access to a variety of sessions tailored to specific industries, including organic production, tree fruit, cut flowers, nursery operations, vegetables, viticulture, small fruit, and programs for beginning farmers.
The forum also offers DEC recertification credits for participants, with credit hours varying by topic. For example, organic production sessions provide 2.0 credits, tree fruit 2.0 credits, and vegetable sessions 1.5 credits.
Additional credits are available for cut flower, nursery, viticulture, beginning farmer, and small fruit programs, helping participants maintain professional certification while expanding their knowledge.
